Specialized in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
In 2014, she completed her PhD with a dissertation titled Adaptive Changes in the Dominant Shoulder of Professional Volleyball and Handball Players.
After completing specialization, she took a position at the University Rehabilitation Institute, Republic of Slovenia, where she worked in the hospital Department for the rehabilitation of patients with injuries, peripheral nerve disorders, and rheumatic diseases and outpatient clinic for sports injuries, isokinetic dynamometry and ultrasound diagnostics of musculoskeletal system. In 2024, she co-founded a private practice for sports rehabilitation and clinical sports nutrition SportMed+Rehab, in Ljubljana.
In recent years, in a collaboration with the national Association for Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, the Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Association of Physiotherapists of Slovenia, she has been co-organizing symposiums Current Concepts of Treatment, aimed to present the latest advancements in surgical and conservative treatment as well as rehabilitation - focusing on the knee in 2020, the shoulder in 2022, and the hip in 2024. She is a co-editor of the publications Current Concepts of Treatment and Rehabilitation Protocols.
Since 2012, she has worked as a team physician of the Slovenian Women’s National Volleyball and Beach Volleyball team. She is a member of the Medical Commission of the Slovenian Olympic Committee.
