Dr. med. univ. Roman C. Ostermann is a specialist in Orthopaedics & Traumatology, Trauma Surgery,
and Sports Medicine, focusing on shoulder and knee surgery as well as sports injuries. He heads the acute sports- and joint-injury outpatient clinic at the St. Vincent Shoulder and Sports Clinic, Herz Jesu Hospital in Vienna, Austria’s leading center for arthroscopic and prosthetic shoulder procedures. Formerly head of the shoulder outpatient clinic at AKH Vienna, he has also trained internationally at Columbia University (New York) and the Carrell Clinic (Dallas). Dr. Ostermann serves as team physician for elite sports teams and as Chief Medical Officer for the Generali Open Kitzbühel and the Austrian Basketball Federation. He is an active member of leading orthopedic and sports medicine societies, committed to minimally invasive, patient-centered care.
